Hi, i have an old, but perfectly fine sony bravia tv with scart access connected to a sky hd box and no hdmi port Have plugged in a new free. Sky have advised me that their hd box will no longer receive software updates and are offering to replace the hd box with a skyq box, but as i haven't got a hdmi port, is this possible.

I want to connect an older dvd player using its scart output through the sky box so that i can view it on the tv (cables are in wall so not easily replaced) I cannot find any setting on the sky remote to select an input from the scart plug

Is there not some way to do this please?

My main sky q box is connected via hdmi to my main tv and is working fine However, i have got 2 x new sky q miniboxes but one tv only has a only a scart outlet and other only a usb Is there a usb to hdmi and scart to hdmi convertor out there Aware that they must be hdcp v2.2 compatable too.

I have bought a new smart tv and found it has not got scart I would like advice please as to what cable i need which has a scart one end and something at the other end i can plug into the tv to connect the tv to sky Thank you in advance if anyone is able to help me. Hi @justaviewer in answer to your question copy from sky q box to panasonic dvd recorder skyq is not designed to have an external recorder attached to it, the only output being a hdmi connection to a tv

Skyq boxes can record up to six channels at the same time. Hi @woolars sky q output is copy protected and is unlikely to work through hdmi to scart converters Apart from this the quality would be abysmal even if it was possible. Can i use a converter to connect the sky q mini hdmi cable to scart on my I bought a new tv and it does not have a scart plug option I have connected with a hdmi cable but i have a blue screen issue but only when using the hdmi connection If i connect my old tv with a scart plug it works fine but the hdmi cable on my new tv and my old tv shows blue screen

Having switched from sky, i thought i would just plug in and go using existing generic hdmi cables
